Grether, Marie (Marriage - 14 June 1942)

Rev. and Mrs. Ben Stucki, returned home Tuesday night from Magley, Ind., where they attended a double wedding at the home of Rev. and Mrs. D. Grether, where their two oldest children, Rev. Jack Grether and Miss Marie Grether were united in marriage with the young people whom they chose, for life companions. Both of the young Grethers were born in Neillsville, while Rev. David Grether served the Zion Evangelical congregation as pastor, and both are graduates of the Mission House Seminary at Plymouth.

Rev. Jack Grether and Miss Marie Hildebrand, both of Magley, were married on Sunday, June 14, by his father, the Rev. David Grether. They will make their home at Bellmont, S. D., where the groom has accepted a pastorate in the Evangelical and Reformed Church.

On the same day, Miss Marie Grether of Magley, and Rev. Calvin Stuebbe of Newton, Wis., were married by the groom’s father, the Rev. Clause Stuebbe, Newton. The groom is pastor of an Evangelical and Reformed church at Eureka, S. D., where the couple will reside. Mrs. Stuebbe has held a position as private secretary in Fort Wayne, Ind., since her graduation two years ago.

Rev. and Mrs. Frank Stucki of Waukon, Iowa, accompanied the Neillsville Stucki to Indiana.
