Taylor, Roy (4 Sept. 1875 - 17 Feb. 1937)
Mr. Roy Taylor, a native of Colby, died in Maywood, California, Feb. 17th. Death must have been unexpected for he recently wrote his brother at Loyal that he planned on visiting him this coming summer. Those who knew him will recall his friendly disposition.
The deceased was born in Colby, Sept. 4th, 1875, and graduated from the Colby, Wis. High school. He learned the printer’s trade in the Phonograph office in Colby and that became his life work. He also worked in the Tribune office at Loyal and in the Times office at Neillsville, Wis.
About seventeen years ago he returned to Wisconsin with his family and worked for a few months. Leaving Clark county, he went to South Dakota and made that his home until the death of his wife about a year ago. He then went to California to make his home with his daughter, Mrs. Mabelle Perkins.
He is survived by three daughters and one brother.
