Colby, Henry Dean (11 Nov. 1889 - 11 Mar. 1937)
Funeral services for Henry Dean Colby, 47, town of Brighton, Wisconsin farmer, who died of a complication of ailments on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. were conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Colby residence. The Rec. C. Nulton, pastor of the Methodist-Episcopal church officiated, and burial took place in the town of Brighton cemetery.
Mr. Colby was born on Nov. 11th, 1889, at Colby, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Colby. His marriage to Miss Lucy Mayville took place on June 18, 1908, at Stevens Point. Mr. Colby spent the greater part of his life farming. He had been in ill health for the past year. He was a member of the Methodist-Episcopal church.
Surviving besides his widow are 10 children, Mrs. Gordon Lynn, town of Brighton, and Eleanor, Donald, Lowell, Floyd, Beverly, Dennis, Nancy and Virginia, at home, and Erna, Neenah. His mother, Mrs. Lottie Colby, Sacramento, Calif., two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Maud Thompson and Percy Colby, Sacramento; Mrs. James O’Donnel, Owen; and William A. Colby, Abbotsford; and two grandchildren also survive.
