Kurth, Mrs. William Frederick (21 July 1857 - 24 June 1942)

Mrs. Martin Hauge received to message from her son, Walter Kurth, last week which announced the death of her mother-in-law, Mrs. William Kurth, at Stockton, Calif., on June 24.

Mrs. Kurth would have been 86 years old had she lived until the 21st day of July, 1942. She was born in Black River Falls, Wis., living for many years after her marriage in Neillsville, Wis. In 1917, Mr. and Mrs. Kurth went to California to live with their children, Mr. Kurth passing away several years ago.

The departed is survived by five children: Bertha, Mrs. Sam Logan, Alameda; Edith, Mrs. Carl Weinert, Fresno; Julia, Mrs. Irving Lowe, Stockton, and Isabelle, Mrs. Christ Reich, Stockton; all of the state of California, and Arthur, Seattle, Wash. Also surviving are her sisters, Mrs. Henry Moldenhauer of Black River Falls, and Mrs. William Clark of Stockton, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Two children Clara, Mrs. Charles Kapke, and Fred Kurth, preceded the mother in death.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Stockton, California.
