Rabska, Florence (7 OCT 1937)
A quiet wedding ceremony was performed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rabska on Oct. 7, 1937, at 1:30 o’clock in the afternoon, when their daughter, Florence, became the bride of Earl Petersen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Petersen. The Rev. E. Wendling officiating.
The bride wore a beautiful white satin gown, ankle length, with matching white sandals. A long white veil was held by a tiara of orange blossoms. Her flowers were red and white roses.
Miss Ruth Petersen, sister of the groom, attended the bride, and wore an ankle length gown of aqua marine. Her flowers ere a mixed bouquet.
The groom wore an oxford grey suite, with a white rose at the lapel. He was attended by Herman Rabska, brother of the bride, who also wore a suit of oxford grey and a rose at the lapel.
Only immediate relatives of the bride and groom witnessed the double ring ceremony and attended the wedding supper. The table and room was decorated with blue, pink and white streamers.
The young couple sponsored a wedding dance at Shadynook in the evening. They left for a trip through Iowa the following morning, and will be home to their many friends after Oct. 20th.
