Old Shortville Maker Loses His Swiss Bride

Cannonville - Mr. and Mrs. Christ Feutz, accompanied by Mrs. Higgins of Granton, went to London, Wis., last Friday and attended the funeral of Mrs. William Feutz. She was the wife of William Feutz, who was the cheese maker at Shortville about 25 years ago. She was William’s sweetheart of the old days. After he had made his way in American, he went back to Switzerland, married her and brought her back to Wisconsin. Their marriage took place a year or so after Mr. Feutz left Shortville. They located in the London and Lake Mills territory, and prospered, building up a fine cheese factory and an excellent business.

Mrs. Feutz is survived by her husband and a daughter. An older daughter died some years ago.

William Feutz is a brother of Chris Feutz, and the youngest of the five brothers.
