Hartung, Albert (14 Sept. 1900 - 4 July 1942)

Albert Hartung, 41, died in a state hospital of hemorrhage after a long illness, his death occurring at 9:15 a.m. July 4th.

Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville, at nine a.m., Tuesday, July 7, 1942, the Rev. J. A. Biegler conducting the rites. The body was interred at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

The departed was born September 14, 1900, at Dickeysville, Wis., to John and Margaret (Wiederhold) Hartung. He came to Clark County with his parents 38 years ago. He attended the rural school in the home district, St. Mary’s Catholic school in this city and for two years he attended the Neillsville High School.

He is survived by his parents, and the following brothers and sisters: George Hartung, Platteville; Miss Lena and Frank and Arthur Hartung, Chicago; (Elizabeth) Miss Frank Heinz, Milwaukee; Joe, Henry, Anthony and Roseline, Neillsville, Wis.
