Winkler, Agnes Amelia (4 Aug. 1914 - 5 Jan. 1940)

Funeral services were held Tuesday, at 2 P. M. for Mrs. Agnes Amelia Winkler (nee Arnold) who passed away last Friday afternoon in St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Death was caused by infection and complications. She was ill but a few days.

The deceased was born Aug. 4, 1914 in Vernon County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Arnold. She came to Veefkind with her parents during 1835. Here she attended school and grew to womanhood. She was married to John Winkler, Aug. 5, 1939, living in Chicago four and one-half months following their marriage.

Surviving are her husband, two children, Vernon and Beverly Jean Schoenemann, her parents, a sister, Eva, a brother, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services, held in the Unity Lutheran Church, were conducted by Rev. J, A. Olson. Interment was made in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers were Lester Safemaster, Lorraine Flink, Orvel Westberg, Gilbert Bymer, Lawrence Schultz and Roger Woodkey. In charge of the flowers were Alice Schultz, Mrs. Mary Blattler, Inez Smith, Gladys Flink, Eleanor Johnson, and Flora Willianson. Those from away attending the funeral included Mrs. Worden Burnett, Menasha, Joe Winkler, Marshfield, Mrs. Kroeling, Stratford, Mr. and Mrs. Theron Mick and the former's mother, Mrs. Mick, Beloit.
