Mueller, Bertha (Marriage - 13 Oct. 1937)
Miss Bertha Mueller and Gerald Stelzel, residents of Abbotsford, were united in marriage Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Milan Lutheran church at a ceremony performed by the Rev. George Groth.
The bride was gowned in white satin and wore a long tulle and lace veil with a beaded coronet headdress, and carried a bouquet of pink roses, asters, babies-breath and fern.
Miss Marie Miller, Eau Claire, attending as maid of honor, was attired in rose satin and the bridesmaids, Miss Ina Heikkinen, Owen, and Miss Annabel Zahorka, of Athens, were dressed alike in blue and peach lace and satin redingote frocks.
The bridegroom was attended by Mark Decker, Eau Claire, Herman Mueller, Abbotsford, and Roy Stelzel, Dorchester, Wis.
A dinner and reception for forty-five guests followed at the home of bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Mueller, and a dance was given at Jerkwater hall that evening. Autumn leaves decorated the church and flowers, combined with streamers of white, blue and pink, decorated the house.
Mr. and Mrs. Stelzel will reside at Durand and will be at home to their friends after October 10th.
