Herrmann, William (27 AUG 1874 - 22 APR 1938)

Funeral services were held at St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed Church at Colby Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock for William Herrmann, 63, who died at his home near Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.) Friday morning at 6 o’clock. He had been ill since January. The Rev. S.M. Schmiechen officiated and burial was in the Colby Cemetery.

The deceased was born in Milwaukee Aug. 27, 1874, and located in Clark County with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Herrmann, in 1879. He was married to Miss Hermina Leichtman May 11, 1904, and for several years resided in Colby. Later he purchased a farm near Curtiss where he had since lived.

Surviving are the widow, five children, Mrs. Galerd Pipkorn, Riplinger, Harold Herrmann, Milwaukee, Roland Herrmann, Columbus, and Eugene and Alphonse Herrmann, at home, and two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Charles Schmidt, Milan, Mrs. Edwin Zillmann, Colby, and Alfred and Oscar Herrmann, town of Colby, Clark County.
