Hoff, Ethel (29 MAY 1938)
A pretty wedding was solemnized at 4 o’clock on Sunday afternoon, May 29, 1938, at the Lutheran Parsonage at Green Grove (Clark Co., Wis.), when Miss Ethel Hoff became the bride of Lawrence Boardman of Thorp, Rev. M.C. Goetsch officiating.
The couple were attended by Mr. and Mrs. John McCorrison of Marshfield, sister and brother-in-law of the bride. A wedding dinner was served at the bride’s home at 5 o’clock and a dance was given at the village hall in the evening.
The bride has been primary teacher in the Pleasant Hill state graded school the past three years and is a graduate of the Abbotsford, Wis. High School and the rural course of the Stevens Point State Teachers College.
The groom is a filling station attendant at Thorp.
They will make their home at Thorp after a week’s honeymoon in southern Wisconsin.
