Funk, Ethel (3 JUN 1938)
Miss Ethel Funk, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Funk of the village of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), was united in marriage to William Engel, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Engel of Withee, at a quiet but beautiful ceremony at 2 p.m. Friday at the German Lutheran Parsonage at Withee. The Rev. Wendling performed the ceremony.
The bride was beautifully gowned in a pale blue crepe afternoon dress and carried a bouquet of lilies of the valley. She was attended by her sister, Miss Beryl Funk, who wore an afternoon dress of yellow crepe and carried a mixed bouquet.
The groom and the best man, Otto Engel, brother of the groom, wore oxford grey suits.
Late in the afternoon a reception dinner was held at the home of the bride, at which immediate friends and relatives of the young couple were invited.
Both the bride and groom are well known to residents of Owen and Withee as they have both been active in community work and have made Withee their home for years. They will reside on a farm north of Owen, Wis.
Their wide circle of friends are sincere in extending to them their best wishes for a happy wedded life.
