Miller, Bessie M. (9 MAY 1887 - 10 JUN 1938)

Funeral services were conducted Monday, June 13 from the Longwood Church for Mrs. Edward Miller, with Rev. Norson officiating. Interment was made in Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Miller was taken to Victory Hospital at Stanley June 5th, where she was confined for treatment, however on June 10th she passed away at the age of 51 years.

Bessie Marion Farwell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Farwell of Stanley, was born May 9, 1887 at Melrose, Wis. On Nov. 29, 1904 she was united in marriage to Edward Miller at Stanley, Wisconsin. To this union were born ten children, four daughters, Jean of Oakdale, Calif., Marie of Longwood, Eva of Stanley, and Edna of Owen; six sons, Louis, Ray, Roy, Ralph, Earl and Loren, all of Longwood. Mr. and Mrs. Miller settled on a farm southwest of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) thirty-four years ago. The first two years they rented the farm and then they bought it, making that her home until the time of her death.

Mrs. Miller leaves to mourn her passing her husband and ten children, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Farwell of Stanley, two brothers, Howard of Lansing, Michigan, and William of Stanley, and a host of grieved friends.

Pallbearers at the service were: Albin Thorson, Chas. Poppy, Fred Scherf, Julius Bredeson, Carl Sorenson and Melvin Erickson.
