Tesinsky, Helen M. (25 JUN 1938)
Miss Helen Mary Tesinsky, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Tesinsky, Berwyn, Ill., became the bride of Allen M. Schiszik, Berwyn, Ill., son of Mr. and Mrs. Felix Schiszik, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), at a nuptial ceremony performed at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 1938, at the Warren Park Presbyterian Church.
Lighted tapers, palms and clusters of gladioli decorated the church, where the couple repeated their marriage vows after the Rev. Mr. Pratt. Miss Alice Blue sang during the ceremony.
Traditional white satin was worn by the bride, whose long veil was of tull, edged in lace. Her bouquet combined roses and lilies of the valley.
Misses Dorothy Raminger, Lorraine Buhnke, and Ruth Cika, who attended as bridesmaids, wore net dresses of peach and green with picture hats and carried colonial bouquets of roses.
Victor Tesinsky and Raymond Schiszik attended the bridegroom. The men wore white jackets with tuxedo trousers.
Approximately 200 relatives and friends were entertained at a reception at Cicero, Ill., after the ceremony and a wedding supper was served at Vaceks Hall. A six piece orchestra played during the reception.
On July 2 a wedding dance will be held at Dorchester, Wis.
Mr. and Mrs. Schiszik left on a two weeks’ wedding trip through Wisconsin. After July 10 they will make their home with the bride’s parents at Berwyn, Ill. The bridegroom is employed as a welder.
