Misener, Mary Ann Christine (Marriage - 27 July 1957)

Mary Ann Christine Misener, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Misener, Colby, became the bride Saturday of Dwight Floyd Treankler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Treankler, Abbotsford, Wis. The Rev. John Pinion was officiant at the 11 o’clock service in St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

The bride chose floor-length gowns of nylon lace over taffeta for her attendants. Their strapless bodices were topped with lace jackets with rows of ruffles at the hip line and the back panel. They wore horsehair braid crowns of colors matching their gowns. The matron of honor, Mrs. Donald Harlson, the groom’s sister from Abbotsford, wore yellow, and the bridesmaids, Miss Joan Herbert, Unity, and Mrs. Allen Stange, Wausau, were in orchid. They carried colonial bouquets of matching carnations and mums.

The bride wore an Alencon lace gown with underskirt of satin. The fitted bodice featured a scooped neckline dotted with iridescent sequins, and long tapered lace sleeves coming to points at the wrists. The front lace panel had alternate ruffles of tulle, the bouffant skirt back extending into a long lace train. Her French imported silk illusion veil cascaded to her fingertips from a crown trimmed with seed pearls. Red roses and white carnations fashioned her bouquet.

The bride’s mother wore a street-length dress of dusty rose with white accessories. Her corsage was made of yellow and white roses. The mother of the groom wore a black and white figured dress with white accessories. Yellow and white roses also comprised her corsage.

Wayne and LeRoy Misener, the bride’s brothers, were best man and groomsman, respectively. Allen Stange, the groom’s brother-in-law from Wausau, was the other groomsman. Two friends of the groom from Abbotsford, Ronald Weix and Jerold Reuden, ushered.

Completing the retinue of attendants were Ronda Stange, the groom’s niece, and Terry Schraufnagel, the groom’s cousin, as flower girl and ring bearer. Ronda wore a white gown of crystalette and net over taffeta. Her skirt was finished with a double tier of ruffled net.

A reception at the home of the bride’s parents, and a dinner at St. Mary’s Gym, were attended by guests from Chicago, Ill., Rib Lake, Milwaukee and Stratford. The couple will reside in Colby where the groom is employed by the American Box Board Co.
