Wallner, Johanna (1 Jan. 1850 - 9 Jan. 1938)

Mrs. Frederick Wallner, a former resident of Colby, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ernest McGraff, at Chicago Sunday night at the age of eighty-eight years. Funeral services were held at the F. W. Lulloff funeral parlor Tuesday afternoon and internment was made in the Colby cemetery, Rev. Harry Lee of the M. E. church officiating. Pall bearers were E. A. Fleischauer, Fred Baumgart, Hugo Krepsky, August Schoelzel, Carl Holtzhausen and John Biell.

The deceased, whose maiden name was Johanna Panke, was born in East Prussia on Jan. 1, 1850, and was married to Friedrich Wallner in that country in 1876. They came to the United States in 1888 and settled at Colby, living here for forty-four years. Mr. Wallner died five years ago, and, for the last three years, Mrs. Wallner lived with her children.

The surviving children are: Mrs. Ernest McGraff of Chicago, Mrs. Charles Stuckart and Mrs. J. R. McCauley of Milwaukee and Ernest Wallner, a chemistry instructor at Marquette university of Milwaukee. Seven grand children also survive.
