Smith of Unity, in a quiet ceremony at 8:30 o’clock Friday evening, Feb. 18th, at the home of her father, Mr. William E. Poore, 8257 Merril Ave., Chicago, Ill. Rev. G. C. Vogel, pastor of the community Presbyterian church officiated, using the beautiful ring service.
The bride was lovely in an entrained gown of white canton crepe with accessories of white, and white satin sandals. Her flowers were white gardenias and lilies of the valley.
Mrs. Ilif Lynch, sister of the bride, acted as maid of honor, and wore a floor length gown of pale blue crepe romance, and silver slippers. Her corsage consisted of sweet peas and lilies of the valley.
The groom was attended by Wm. Poore, Jr., brother of the bride.
Following the ceremony a light supper was served to only immediate relatives and friends of the young people, the tables being beautifully decorated with cut flowers, ferns and candles, after which a reception was held.
