Johnson, Nola #2 (11 SEP 1938)
The United Lutheran Church at Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) was the scene of a beautiful late summer wedding at high noon Sunday, Sept. 11, 1938, when Miss Nola Johnson of Greenwood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter C. Johnson, became the bride of George E. Kuehl of Withee. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A.E. Norson of Greenwood.
The bride was beautifully attired in a gown of floor length wine colored transparent velvet with a matching turban and veil and wine colored satin sandals. She carried a lovely arm bouquet of talisman roses and white chrysanthemums. Miss Johnson was attended by her niece, Erna Vangnes, who wore a floor length gown of royal blue transparent velvet with matching turban and sandals. She also carried an arm bouquet of talisman roses and white chrysanthemums.
The groom was attended by his brother, Charles Kuehl Jr., both of whom wore dark suits.
The bride’s father, P. Johnson, presented his daughter to the groom, while Mrs. Norson played the bridal chorus from "Lohengrin." Mrs. Harry……(the rest of my copy was cut off)
