Heppner, Marie (Marriage - 25 July 1938)
A quiet wedding took place Monday, July 25th, at the Zion Lutheran parsonage, Rev. O. Hoffmann reading the marriage ceremony, when Miss Marie Heppner, daughter of R. C. Heppner, became the bride of Donald Halverson, son of Henry Halverson. The bride was attired in a very becoming floor length blue satin gown with a shoulder length veil. Her bouquet consisted of red roses, chrysanthemums, baby breath and ferns. Mrs. Ted Baumgart, sister of the groom, acted as matron of honor and wore a floor length gown of yellow taffeta. Her bouquet consisted of yellow roses, chrysanthemums and baby breath. The groom was attended by his brother, Edward Halverson.
A reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Baumgart, the home being nicely decorated in blue and yellow and with flowers for the occasion.
The couple will make their home in Colby where the groom is employed by Oscar Dittmeyer.
