Wicker, Minnie Alvina (16 Dec. 1878 - 1 Sept. 1938)
Funeral services for Mrs. Tom Truman Wicker were held at the Colby Methodist church by Rev. Harry Lee, pastor, assisted by members of the church choir.
Minnie Alvina Deuermeyer was born December 16, 1878, and lived nearly all her life in Spencer when she moved to Holloway, Taylor county. She was married to Tom Truman Wicker and she and her husband lived on the farm until her death which came unexpectedly on the morning of Thursday, September 1. After considerable suffering she passed to that home of many mansions where sufferings are forever past. Her mortal remains were laid to rest in the family lot in the Colby cemetery.
She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, two brothers and three sisters besides a large number of friends.
