Klemetson, Lawrence (08 May 1914 - 12 Sept. 2007)
Lawrence Klemetson, 93, died Wednesday, September 12th, 2007, at the Colonial Center, Colby.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, Sept 20, at 1:30 at the Norwegian Cemetery, West of Curtiss, Wis. Services will be given by Reverend Carl Swarr, with a luncheon to follow at the Missionary Alliance Church, Curtiss, Wis.
Lawrence was born May 8th, 1914, to Morris and Katheryn (Schiszik) Klemetson, Curtiss, Wis. He was a WW2 veteran serving in Germany, France and England.
He married Joyce Long October 26th, 1946 and they lived in Curtiss, Wis. They were divorced in 1974.
Lawrence worked in Chicago. He worked as a carpenter for Uhlig Construction until he retired. Lawrence enjoyed building things, playing the concertina, dancing, carpentry work, gardening, yard work and putting puzzles together.
Surviving are three daughters, Judy Klemetson Quante, Withee, Diane (Allen) Dunow, TX, Lyn (Larry) Duda, Loyal; two sons, Larry (Melinda) Klemetson, Phillips and Dennis (Nancy) Klemetson, NH.
In addition to his children are 24 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Lawrence is proceeded in death by a daughter, Susan; two sisters, Alvina Eches and Laura Uhlig; three brothers, Harry Lavern and Floyd Klemetson.
