Mattson, Hulda (2 Jan. 1884 - 14 Dec. 1938)
Mrs. Marten Mattson, nee Hulda Feind, died at Merrill, Wis., on Wednesday, Dec. 14th, 1938, at the age of fifty-four years. Funeral services were held at the Grace Lutheran church at Tomahawk, Wis., Saturday and internment was made in the Tomahawk cemetery.
The deceased was born in Colby on January 2, 1884. She was united in marriage to Marten Mattson on August 1, 1912.
In 1917 she contracted lung trouble and entered the sanitarium at Wausau. Later, she was at the hospital at Stateson, Wis., and for the past three years she has been at the Lincoln Hospital at Merrill. She passed away suddenly on Wednesday at 3:45 P.M. as the result of a heart attack.
Surviving are her husband, two sons and three daughters. Also two brothers, Charles Feind and Edward Feind of Colby and four sisters, Mrs. William Ristou of Baileys Harbor, Wis., Mrs. John Tesmer of Gilman, Wis., Mrs. Albert Steckhaln of Milwaukee and Mrs. Anna Bonert of Cashton, Wis. One brother, Gust Feind, of Tomahawk preceded her in death.
The deceased will be remembered by many as a good Christian, an industrious worker and of a congenial disposition.
