Barts, Lila (Marriage - 4 Feb. 1939)

Miss Lila Barts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Armin Barts of Cherokee, and Mr. Herman Mueller, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Mueller of Abbotsford, were united in marriage Saturday at 2:00 P.M. in the Lutheran parsonage at Edgar, Rev. Diemer reading the services. The bride wore a lovely blue transparent velvet gown with a face veil to match, a gold colored headband and gold accessories. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and lilies.

Miss Lydia Barts, cousin of the bride, and Miss Verna Mueller, sister of the bridegroom, attended the bride. They wore satin gowns of rose and pale blue, respectively, with silver colored headbands and accessories, and face veils to match their frocks. Both wore shoulder corsages. Arthur Weideman and Harvey Barts, a brother of the bride, attended the groom.

After the ceremony, a 5:00 o’clock reception for seventy-five guests was held at the home of the bride’s parents. The residence was nicely decorated in a color scheme of pink, blue and white. Among those present from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Mueller, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mueller and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Stetzel, all of Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Miller and Mrs. Pearl Schwenke of Owen, Wis. In the evening, a wedding dance was given at the Cherokee hall.

Mr. and Mrs. Mueller are making their home in Abbotsford where the groom is employed at the Abbotsford hardware store.
