Horn, Louis (1860? - 28 JAN 1939)
Funeral services were conducted from the Ellingboe Funeral Home at Ladysmith Tuesday afternoon for Louis Horn, 78, who passed away at his home in Ladysmith Saturday. His death was caused by infirmities of old age.
Mr. Horn was well known by many residents of this community. For years he was engaged in the mercantile business at Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), Withee and Abbotsford, Wis. At various times in his career he owned and operated cheese factories at Edson Center, Shortville, Thorp and the Lone Oak Cheese Factory, west of Withee.
He lived in Chicago for two years after coming to this country from Germany, where he was born, and then at the age of 21 moved to Clark County, where he made his home until 11 years ago, when he and his family moved to Ladysmith, where he resided until the time of his passing.
He is survived by his wife and children, Alfred of Ladysmith, Ralph of Gardiner, Mont., Mrs. Dorothy Johnson of Ladysmith and Vivian Horn of Madison.
