Farwell, Fritz L. (30 SEP 1864 - 18 MAR 1939)
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, March 21, 1939 from the Plombon Funeral Home for F.L. Farwell who passed away at the home of his son, Will, March 18, 1939.
Fritz Farwell was born on Sept. 30, 1864, at North Bend, Jackson Co., Wis. In 1886 he was united in marriage to Emma Maud Andrews. To this union was born three children, a daughter and two sons.
In 1900 they came to Clark County and resided there until 1908, when they moved to Fruitland, Wash. They lived in Washington until 1916 when they came back to Wis. and made their home in Owen (Clark Co.). They lived in and around Owen until ten years ago when they moved to Stanley.
The deceased is survived by two sons, Howard of Owen and Will of Stanley. His wife preceded him in death a month ago and his daughter, Mrs. Ed Miller, eight months ago. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Out of town relatives were Ed Miller and two sons, Earl and Loren, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Miller and son, Larry, of Withee; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Farwell, Roy Miller, Mrs. Rudolph Knaack, Mrs. Kenneth Lavine and son, Kenneth, of Owen; Mrs. Ella Sykes, Mr. and Mrs. H. Fischer and baby of Melrose.
Out of town friends were Mr. and Mrs. Allan McCarty of Fond du Lac; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Thomley, Mrs. Jessie McCarty, Otto Holzman of Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Scherf, Edward Thorson, of Withee; and Miss Alice Meinhardt of Owen, Wis.
