My parents, Lee "Happy" & Elsie Kapfer, owned the land just east of "The Dome". I spent many nights there when John Labor owned the ballroom and the bowling alley that stood west of it. In the late 60s, I worked for the Labors and tended bar at both places. I was also a bouncer for a short period time at the dance hall on Friday nights for the Rock 'n Roll dances.. At that time all the kids went to those Friday night dances. Great Times!
