Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Hayden and family spent Sunday with relatives in Marshfield.
The Golderod Homemaker’s club met at the home of Mrs. Art Lindow Thursday afternoon.
The annual school meeting of the Cozy Corner School was held in the school house last Monday evening. The usual business was transacted and Albert Lindow was elected treasurer to succeed Arthur Lindow, whose term expired. Mrs. Silas Foemmel, who had served as clerkfor two years, resigned and Roy Jennings was elected school clerk for the remainder of the term. Mrs. Herman Roehl has the school cleaning job for the coming year.
A surprise birthday part was held at the Albert Lindow home Sunday in honor of the birthdays of Mrs. Albert Lindow and her daughter, Lorna, which occurred on July 16 and 20. A picnic dinner was served at noon. Guests present were; Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Happe, Sr., and daughter, Elda, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Happe, Jr., and daughter, Rowene, and son, Donald, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lindow and daughters, Marian and Caroline; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Gramm, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ott and daughters, Mae, Leah, Hazel and Verna Happe, Mrs. Rosa Lindow, Mrs. William G. Lindow, and Rev. and Mrs. Gutknecht and daughter, Janice. Many gifts were received.
Wesley Hayden went to Nekoosa Sunday evening on an orchestra engagement.
Mrs. Wesley Hayden and daughters, Naomi, Beryl and Beverly, and son, Noll, called at the Herman Roehl home Sunday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bandt went for a week’s vacation to Minnesota.
Silas Foemmel sold a team of colts to a party from Marshfield.
