Galbreath, John H. (13 April 1867 - 16 Aug. 1942)
John H. Galbreath, for 43 years a resident of Clark County, died p.m. Sunday, August 16 after a long illness. He was 75 years of age. His residence was in the town of Washburn.
Funeral services were held at the Schiller Funeral Home in this city on Wednesday, August 19, 1942, at two p.m., the Rev. Obed Asp officiating. Interment took place in the Neillsville cemetery.
Mr. Galbreath was born in Gary, Ind., April 13, 1867, to Mr. and Mrs. John G. Galbreath.
In the year 1895, Mr. Galbreath was united in marriage to Sarah Wood of Neillsville, who survives. He was the father of fourteen children, namely: Milburn Galbreath, Granton; Ada, Mrs. Arthur Opelt and Vera, Mrs. Howard Bowen, Neillsville; Vernon Galbreath, Vesper; Genevieve, Mrs. Edward Hohman, Milwaukee; Bobbie, Earl, Opal, and Bural Galbreath, Neillsville; Eva died at the age of 20 and Hollie at the age of 15. Two sons of a former marriage are Orie Galbreath of Doland, S. D., and Glen of the state of Oregon. He also is survived by 19 grandchildren.
