Burnsee, William (1871 - 23 Mar. 1939)
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Griebenow-Weirich Funeral Home in Owen for William Burnsee, 67, of Curtiss, who died Thursday morning, March 23, at his home in Curtiss, Wis. Death was caused by pneumonia.
The Rev. J. M. LeCount, pastor of the Salem Evangelical church in Dorchester, officiated at the rites, followed by burial in the Pine Hill cemetery.
Mr. Burnsee was born in Fond du Lac County in 1871. For more than 30 years he lived on a farm in North Hoard, and since his son, Irvin, died June 30, 1938, he had been living with his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Irvin Burnsee, and his three granddaughters, Marjorie, Bertha and Ruth.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Albert Ortlieb, town of Little Black, and Mrs. Joe Kawalewski, town of Holway; and three sisters, Mrs. Chas. Smith and Mrs. Ernest Thiemke, of Curtiss, and Mrs. Mary Barry, Fond du Lac. His wife died 11 years ago.
Mr. Burnsee had been town supervisor for several years.
