Kage, Emma (24 Apr. 1889 - 29 Mar. 1939)

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 2nd, at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran church at Green Grove by Rev. M. C. Goetsch for Mrs. Wm. Kage, nee Brandenburg. Mrs. Kage was born April 24th, 1889, in the town of Wolf River near Fremont, Wis. In the year 1909 she was united in marriage to mr. William Kage at Fremont. To this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Lila Rahn of Green Grove. In 1928, they came to Clark county and resided in the town of Unity, occupying what is known as the Kasper cheese factory. About three years later, Mr. and Mrs. Kage moved to Kathryn, North Dakota, where Mrs. Kage passed away on March 29th.

Preceding her in death were two sisters, one brother and her parents. Surviving her are her husband and daughter, Mrs. Edmond Rahn. Also two brothers and three sisters - August Brandenburg of Fremont, Adolph Brandenburg of Oshkosh, Mrs. Herman Hahn and Mrs. Wm. Kester of Fremont and Mrs. Otto Kuehl of Oshkosh.

Out of town relatives here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hahn, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hahn, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kester and son, Wilbert, Mr. and Mrs. August Brandenburg, Mrs. Ed. Ellis, Charles Miller, all of Oshkosh, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kuehn and son, ?, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Kuehl, Oshkosh, Mr. and Mrs. John Davis? of Waupaca, Mr. and Mrs. H. Kage, Mr. and Mrs. Gust ?, West Bloomfield, Miss Emma ? and son, Harold, and daughter, Amella, of Marathon City.

Pall bearers were former neighbors: Charles and Otto ?, Frank and T. Will, R. Witte and Ernst Kowalk.
