McCabe, Mrs. Joseph (May 1866 - 17 May 1939)
Mrs. Joseph McCabe died May 17 at her home in Abbotsford, Wisconsin at the age of 73 years. Death was the result of a heart ailment. Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Catholic church at Abbotsford Saturday morning and internment was made at Menasha.
Mrs. McCabe was born in Columbus May, 1866. She was married at Menasha to Joseph McCabe on February 26, 1882. In 1881, Mr. and Mrs. McCabe came to Abbotsford from Menasha and have since made their home there.
Surviving are her husband and four children - Mrs. Charlotte J. Enman of Pardeeville, Miss Raphaella Catherine McCabe, at home; Felix W. McCabe of Seattle, Wash., and Robert Emmet McCabe of St. Paul, Minn. Six grand children, five great grand children and one sister, Mrs. Martha Malchow of Superior, also survive.
Mrs. McCabe took part in all activities of the St. Bernard’s Catholic church of which she was a member. For twenty-five years she was a member of the church choir which she helped organize. Mr. and Mrs. McCabe helped found St. Bernard’s church and the first service was held in their home. Mrs. McCabe was also a member of the Auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the Royal Neighbors of America.
