Bauer, Miss (Marriage - 20 May 1939)

Miss ? Bauer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo V. Bauer of Abbotsford became the bride of Mr. Randall Sterzinger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sterzinger of Colby, at a mass solemnized at St. Bernard’s Catholic church at Abbotsford Saturday morning. Rev. C. D. Brady celebrated the mass and read the marriage ceremony. Miss Hilda Bauer, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid and Miss Loretta Bauer of Chicago, twin sister of the bride, was maid of honor. The groom was attended by his brothers, Gorman and Morris Sterzinger.

The bride was attired in a becoming dress of white satin with lace yolk, ? veil with beaded headdress ? face veil. Her bouquet consisted of white and pink carnations and snapdragons. The bridesmaid wore an aqua floor length dress of rayon with peach veil and shoulder corsage. The maid of honor wore a dress of ? taffeta and an aqua veil with shoulder corsage. Galen Sterzinger, nephew of the groom, and Betty Freuh, cousin of the bride, were flower bearers. Galen wore a black and white satin tuxedo and a corsage of white carnations. Betty wore a white satin dress with a lace yolk and white shoulder length veil and wreath with a corsage of white carnations.

A reception was given at the home of the bride’s parents, dinner being served to about 100 guests.

The house was decorated with peach, aqua and white. The church altars were decorated with apple blossoms.

The young couple were married on the silver wedding anniversary of the groom’s parents. A silver wedding supper was served at the Frank Sterzinger home to about 300 friends and relatives.

Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. John Sterzinger, Mrs. Theresa Hart and Mrs. Tony Sterzinger of West Allis, Sarah Robinson of Saginaw, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kleinstick and family of Athens, Mr. and Mrs. Vesley and family of Ponitowski, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Parge of Milan, Mr. and Mrs. Art Lodholz and Mrs. Albertina Lodholz of Marathon City, Mrs. Minnie Lau of Watertown, Miss Myra Hardrath of Madison, Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Freuh and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Frueh of ?, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Dalke of ?, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Ohnemus and family and Charles Freuh of Eau Claire.
