Vitort, Joseph (17 MAR 1859 - 3 NOV 1938)
Joseph Vitort died at his home near the Junction, town of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) on Thursday of last week, aged 79 years, 7 months and 17 days. The cause of death was old age and also partial blindness. He was born in Lithuania on March 17, 1859, and later came to Chicago, where he was united in marriage to Anastasia Symbal on Feb. 12, 1901 and came to Thorp and located on a farm near the Junction. He leaves to mourn his aged wife, two sons, Frank of Cicero, Ill., and James at home, and five daughters, Mrs. Bertha Kurcob of Cicero, Mrs. Alice Burwitz, Mrs. Lottie Kubis, Mrs. Julia Grendys, Mrs. Stella Mosik, all of Chicago.
Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Church at Junction on Monday, Nov. 7, at 10 a.m. Father Andrzejewski officiating, burial following the services in the Junction (Czestochowa) Cemetery.
