Lube, Norma Ann (Marriage - 12 Aug. 1939)

Miss Norma Ann Lube, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Dettman, and Lester M. Schaffer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Schaffer, were united in marriage Saturday, August 12th, at 2:00 P.M. at St. Mary’s parsonage in Colby, the Rev. L. J. Lang officiating. Miss Leona Koeppen acted as bridesmaid and the groom was attended by Frederick Zassenhaus, Jr.

The bride was attired in a charming floor length dress of peach net over satin and her bouquet consisted of roses and sweet peas. The bridesmaid wore a floor length dress of pink taffeta and her bouquet also consisted of roses and sweet peas.

A wedding reception was given at the home of the bride’s parents, the home being nicely decorated with cut flowers and blue and pink streamers for the occasion.

In the evening, a wedding dance was given at Wiedenhoeft’s pavilion which was largely attended by friends and relatives.

The young couple will make their home on a farm west of Colby.
