Lindner, Mr./Mrs. Fred (50th Anniv. - 8 Sept. 1939)
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lindner will be married fifty years on September 8th, 1939, but celebrated the event on Sunday because that was a convenient time for their children to be present. Those present Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cortney and two children of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lindner and two children of Owen and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Benzmann of Milan.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Lindner were born in Germany. Mrs. Lindner was born July 8th, 1871, and came to the United States in 1887, moving directly to Dorchester, Wis. Mr. Lindner came to the United States in 1881 and also moved directly to Dorchester, Wis. They were married in that village on Sept. 8th, 1889, where they lived until 1910 when they moved to Colby. Mr. Lindner worked for the Soo Line from 1881 to 1927 when he retired.
They have two children, Mrs. Fred Cortney of Chicago and Arthur Lindner of Owen, Wis. Also four grandchildren. Mrs. Paul Benzmann of Milan and Mrs. Lindner of Colby are sisters.
