Hulse, Donald L. (20 Feb. 1929 - 5 Oct. 2004)
PECATONICA - Donald L. Hulse, age 75, of Pecatonica died of cancer at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at Alden Nelson Debes Subacute Complex in Rockford. He lived the last four years in Pecatonica after moving from Addison.
He was born Feb. 20, 1929, in Chicago, the son of Harold and Bessie (Kleiman) Hulse. On Sept. 6, 1958, Donald and Arlene Lindemann were married in Chicago.
He graduated from Abbotsford (Wis.) High School in 1947, and served a five-year apprenticeship at Washburn Trade School in Chicago.
During the Korean War, Mr. Hulse served in the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army.
He was a pipefitter and member of St. John Lutheran Church in Pecatonica and Pipefitters Local 597 in Chicago.
Surviving him are his wife, Arlene of Pecatonica; two sons, Brian, his wife, Terri, and their children, Rachael, Shaina and Micha of Joliet, and Gary, his wife, Robin, and their son, Matthew of Lancaster, Wis.
His parents died previously.
The funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church with the Rev. Terry L. Theiss officiating. Burial will be at Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery in Pecatonica. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Saturday to time of service at the church.
Flowers and memorials will be accepted.
