Hemmy, Wanda Marie (Marriage - 4 Nov. 1939)

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hemmy announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Wanda Marie Hemmy to Vernoi Leo Ellis, son of Fay Ellis of Juneau, which took place November 4th at St. Raphael’s Cathedral at Dubuque, Iowa. The ceremony was performed by Rev. C. W. Lawler. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Alexander of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The bride was attired in a green costume suit with brown accessories and her flowers were gardenias. She is a graduate of the Colby, Wis. High school and was employed in an insurance office at Juneau the past several years. The groom is a graduate of PioNono High School of Milwaukee and St. Norbert College and was prominent in football in both schools.

The young couple will reside at Juneau where the groom is employed by the Dodge county highway department.
