Hentges, Vera (22 Nov. 1919 - 30 Aug. 2005)

Vera Hentges, 85, of 1600 Sherman Ave., Stevens Point, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005, at Stevens Point Care Center.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Forest Hill Mausoleum, Wisconsin Rapids. The Rev. Vance Underwood will officiate.

Vera was born Nov. 22, 1919, in Granton, to the late Arthur and Ottilia Kurth. She married Adrian Hentges Jan. 22, 1942. He preceded her in death.

She was a former school teacher in Wisconsin Rapids. She and her husband later operated the Almond Feed Mill and also worked at Tri-County Schools until retirement. They moved to Plover in 1986.

Survivors include two sons, Kevin (Deborah) of Stevens Point, and Bradley of De Pere; nine grandchildren; and one sister, Delores (Robert) Nelson of Hancock.

Gasperic Funeral Home of Plainfield is assisting the family with arrangements.
