Silbernagel, Esther (14 Mar. 1909 - 17 Jan. 2004)

A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, in Trinity Lutheran Church for Esther Silbernagel, who died Jan. 13 at age 94. Esther Braatz was born March 14, 1909, in Granton, Wis. She was an elementary school teacher and lived in Beaver Dam, Wis., before moving in 1997 to Portland. In 1932, she married the Rev. Franklin Albrecht; he died in 1946. She married Oscar Treichler in 1949; he died in 1964. In 1973, she married Herman Silbernagel; he died in 1994.

Survivors include her daughter, Ardith Wismar; son, the Rev. Ardon Albrecht; brothers, Victor Braatz and Donald Braatz; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
