Davison, Phyllis (10 Oct. 1918 - 17 Mar. 2005)
Phyllis Davidson, of Appleton, age 86, passed away at Franciscan Care Center, Appleton on Thursday, March 17, 2005. She was born in Withee, WI on October 10, 1918, daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Funk) Davidson. Phyllis was a local artist who operated Davidson Art Studio in Appleton and gave private art lessons to many students of all ages. She taught at vocational school and at the Y.M.C.A.
Phyllis was a charter member of the Appleton Gallery of Arts, a member of the Valley Rock and Mineral Club, and especially enjoyed being a member of the Mid-Wisconsin Chippers wood carving club.
Phyllis is survived by her niece, Maxine (Carl) Schulze of Townsend; and a nephew, Joseph (Donna) Elliott of Colorado.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in law, Ruth (Tom) Martin; niece, Pat Hartjes; and her special friend Carleton Foley.
Interment will take place in Withee, WI.
