Miss Lucille Schmitt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Schmitt of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Mr. Fred Dietsche, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dietsche Sr. of Abbotsford, Wis., in a ceremony solemnized at St. Bernard’s Church here at 8:30 a.m. on June 20th, 1939, the Rev. A.M. Muckerheide officiating.
The couple were attended by Vincent Dietsche, as best man and Therese Schmitt, sister of the bride, as bridesmaid, and James Schmitt, brother of the bride, and Bernice Dietsche, sister of the groom.
The bride was attired in a gown of redingote Chantilly lace also bordered her finger tip tulle veil lace and satin bordered with orange blossoms. The bridesmaid, Miss Schmitt, wore a dress of net lace peach colored and a headdress to match. Miss Dietsche wore an aqua blue net lace dress and both carried bouquets of forget-me-nots.
A reception, after the ceremony, was held at the home of the bride’s parents where covers for dinner were laid for 25 persons.
The newlyweds left on a trip thru the middle west and on their return will be home to their many friends at Ladysmith where the groom is employed.
Following were out of town guests: Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Shuck and two children, Stevens Point, Wm. Kruger and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dietsche and family of Abbotsford, Wis., and Miss Rhea Colby of Unity, Wis.
