Pagel, Allie (22 JUL 1939)
Allie Pagel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Pagel of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Walter Leskinen of Greenwood, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony by a single ring ceremony performed by Rev. F. H. Sprengler at the Lutheran Parsonage at Thorp at 2 o’clock p.m. Saturday afternoon, July 22nd, 1939.
The bride was attired in a white taffeta gown with a tulle veil. She carried a bouquet of white roses and baby breath. Nettie Page, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid. She wore a peach gown of silk marquisette. Her headband was sweet peas and a corsage of white lilies and baby breath.
The groom wore a navy blue suit. Edwin Leskinen, brother of the groom, acted as best man. He wore oxford gray. They both wore baby breath boutonnieres.
A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, where a 6 o’clock dinner was served to one hundred relatives and friends. The newlyweds will live on a farm in the town of Reseburg.
A wedding dance was given at the American Legion Hall at Thorp in the evening.
