Frantz, Jean Winnifred (Marriage - 16 Oct. 2007)
Miss Jean Winnifred Frantz, daughter of Attorney and Mrs. George F. Frantz, Fennimore, and Charles Arthur West, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. West, of Waterloo, Ia., were united in marriage at eleven a.m. Friday Oct. 16, in the Thorndike Hilton Memorial Chapel on the University of Chicago Campus, the Rev. Harry Moore of Waterloo performed the ceremony.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a grey flannel suit with alligator leather accessories. Miss Marylinn Beardslee, and Alpha Phi sorority sister, was her only attendant. John Brinckman of Riverside, Ill., attended Mr. West as best man. Arthur Moore of Riverside and David Roberston of Beverly Hills, Ill., were the ushers.
A wedding breakfast was served in the Anchorage room of the Windermere East Hotel after the ceremony.
Mr. and Mrs. West left on a wedding trip. Upon their return, they went directly to their home at Riverside. For her honeymoon, the bride selected a luggage tan gabardine tailored dress, with a dark brown Chesterfield coat. Her modified derby hat and other accessories matched the coat.
Mrs. West was graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1941. She has been employed by the Civil Aeronautics Authority as an airways traffic controller in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. West, a graduate of the University of Iowa and a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, has been associated with United Air Lines in New York City, Chicago and Canada. On October 19th he began his new position as instructor for the United Air Lines Personnel Training school in Chicago.
Mrs. West is granddaughter of Conrad Frantz and a niece of Ben and Robert Frantz of Neillsville, Wis. She has visited her relatives here many times throughout her childhood and young womanhood.
