Maines, Bert (? - 1942)
Bert Maines, a former resident of Neillsville, passed away at Great Pines, Idaho, some time during the past summer, according to a letter to Oscar Foote of Pine Valley, an old friend of the Maines Family.
Mr. Maines had been employed for years in the government forestry service. His death, at the age of about 61, came as a shock to his many friends here. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Maines, who at one time owned the farm which now is the property of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Allen, west of Neillsville, Wis.
The departed is survived by his wife and several children and by two sisters: Mrs. B. C. Bunker, Hudson, Wis., and Frances, who is married and resides in Idaho. Twin sisters, Misses Delliphine and Eleanor Maines, trained nurses, preceded him in death.
