Nichols, Wanda (2 SEP 1939)

Mr. Adolph Dziengel, son of Mr. and Mrs. P. Dziengel of Chicago, and Miss Wanda Nichols, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Nichols of the Town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), were united in marriage at a nine o’clock ceremony performed by Rev. Thos. Adamiak at St. Hedwig’s Church here on Saturday morning, Sept. 2, 1939. Henry Nichols, brother of the bride, and Miss Dorothy Dziengel, sister of the groom, acted as best man and bridesmaid. Other attending couples were Joe Kozenka and Miss Martha Jaskt, Chester Dziengel and Miss Helen Rataiczyk, Ted Zwranic and Miss Vernie Markowski.

The bride was beautifully attired in a snow white satin gown train and white clippers. She wore a long veil and wreath of waxed orange blossoms and calla lilies. Around her neck was suspended a white rhinestone cross and a beautiful white rhinestone bracelet adorned her wrist. Her bouquet was of white roses, lilies of the valley and white swan flowers. The maid of honor, Miss Teck Dziengel, wore a peach colored satin dress and carried a bouquet of talisman roses, blue snapdragons and white roses. The four bridesmaids were dressed in powder blue satin gowns with satin slippers to match and their flowers were pink roses and white swan flowers.

The groom and his attendants wore tuxedos.

The newlyweds will reside in Chicago.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents after the ceremony where the happy parties were present with many beautiful gifts. Festivities continued throughout the day and evening with the following our of town guests in attendance: Mr. and Mrs. E. Dziengel and daughter Rose Marie, Mrs. Zweawic and son, Mr. and Mrs. S. Dubicki, Mr. and Mrs. S. Jakus, Ten Zweawic, Miss Teck Dziengel, and Mr. and Mrs. McKee and family, of Chicago; and P. Dziengel, daughter Dorothy and son Chester, of Argyle, Minnesota. The bride and groom wish to thank their friends for the beautiful gifts which they received.
