Nowak, Joseph (20 JAN 1856 - 29 SEP 1939)

Joseph Nowak, 88 years of age, died at his farm home in the town of Taft on Friday, Sept. 29th, 1939 of old age infirmities.

The deceased was born in Poland, Jan. 20, 1856, and has been in America for sixty years, residing in New York, Stanley, and lastly Thorp. His wife died twenty-two years ago. Surviving him are five sons, George, Leon and Louis of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), Frank of Chicago and Walter of Green Bay; and three daughters, (Mary) Mrs. Steve Ciechocki, Green Bay, (Anna) Mrs. Andrew Syrycuk, Lublin, and (Kate) Mrs. Louis LaJandreau, Springfield, Minn.

The funeral was held at St. Mary’s Church, Junction, Monday morning, Rev. Thos. Adamiak officiating, and interment following in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Martin Soda, Andrew Krych, Jos. Staron, Ambrose Fijalkiewicz, Jacob Kula and Anton Slowiak.
