Warner, Alice B. (JUN 1865 - 24 DEC 1939)

Alice B. Warner died at her home near Ladysmith on Monday of last week at the age of seventy-four years and seven months. The funeral was held in the Ladies Aid building at Jump River, Thursday at 2 p.m. Interment in Jump River Cemetery.

Deceased was born at Brockville, Canada, and came to Wisconsin with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.V. Jerard, when a child. They settled on a farm in the Eidsvold community. When Alice was about seventeen years of age she was married to Martelo Warner. They lived in the vicinity of Eidsvold for a number of years and then moved to Jump River, where Mr. Warner died. They were the parents of sixteen children, of which the following survive: Mrs. Grace Buyett, Wm. H., Melvin, Lawrence, Martelo, Edwin, Albert, Clifford, Mrs. Nancy Bostader, Mrs. Hester Thompson and Mrs. Alice Crook.

Mrs. Warner was the last of the H.V. Jerard family, pioneer residents of the town of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).
