Lake, Erna (Marriage - 20 Apr. 1940)
Miss Erna Lake, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lake of Colby, and Louis Kellner, Jr., of Marshfield, were married at 9:00 o’clock Saturday morning at a mass performed in St. John’s Catholic church in Marshfield by the Rev. Paul Stimmler, M.S.C., assistant pastor. Appropriate nuptial music was played during the service.
Miss Lake wore a white taffeta gown designed with a train and carried a bouquet of flowers. Her sheer veil was held in place with a crown headdress. Mrs. Edward Liebl, sister of the bride, attended as matron of honor wearing a tea rose taffeta gown and carried roses and lilies. Joe Kellner was best man. Also attending the couple were Miss Margaret Alyea and Ed. Liebl.
About sixty relatives and friends were served breakfast, dinner and supper at the home of the groom’s parents.
Mr. Kellner attended school in Colby, Wis., and the groom is a graduate of the Marshfield High School. He is employed by his father. The couple is at home to friends at their home in N. Central avenue, Marshfield.
