Bailey, Florinda (1899? - 1942)
Mrs. Emma Zimmer, Mrs. William Schwellenbach and son, Wallace, and Mrs. Harold Schnabel and daughter, Rochelle, left Wednesday for Jackson, Mich., to attend the funeral of Mrs. N. A. Bailey, 43, which is being held at there today, (Thursday).
Mrs. Bailey was born Florinda Steels, in the town of Lynn, later living in Neillsville until she was about ten years of age.
Mr. and Mrs. Bailey had planned to leave for San Diego, Cal., on Sunday to visit their son, Robert, who is with the U. S. Marine Corps. Not feeling well enough to travel Sunday, it was through best to postpone the trip and on Monday; Mrs. Bailey was stricken with a heart attack, passing away in a short time.
The departed is survived by her husband and son, her aged mother, Mrs. Tim McMahon, Mt. Pleasant, Mich., and by a brother and three half sisters, namely: Elmer Steele, Lansing, Mich.; Mrs. Emma Zimmer, Mrs. Wallace Schwellenbach, and Mrs. Tena Haachman, all of Neillsville, the later being in Mt. Pleasant at present caring for her mother.
The Baileys visited relatives in Richland Center and Neillsville the latter part of the September.
