Barts, Gertrude (Marriage - 31 Aug. 1940)

Miss Gertrude Barts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Barts, and Mr. Harry Bungert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bungert, were united in marriage Saturday, August 31st, at 9:00 A.M. at Marathon City, Wisconsin. Arlyne Bungert, sister of the groom, was maid of honor and the groom was attended by Joe Butall.

The bride was attired in a dress of white satin with long train and veil and matching accessories. Her shower bouquet consisted of roses and forget-me-nots. The maid of honor wore a dress of blue satin and head veil with matching accessories and her arm bouquet consisted of roses and carnations.

A reception for relatives was held at the home of the bride’s parents, the home being nicely decorated with blue, rose and white streamers for the occasion. Covers were laid for 200.

In the evening, a wedding dance was given at the Trianon pavilion.

The young couple will make their home at Wausau where the groom is employed by the Doern Sash Factory at Wausau, Wis.
